Your Parish Council is a local authority constituted by parliament and governed by legislation.

A Parish Council exists to represent the interests of the people living in and around Little Easton and help maintain law and order.  You can find out more about us and what we do in this website, please do take the time to explore all the information available.

Members of the public are very welcome to attend Parish Council meetings which always include a time for a public forum during which you are able to comment on agenda items and other matters at the Chairman’s discretion. Parish Council meetings are not a ‘public’ meeting but are in fact a meeting of the Parish Council held in public.

Should you not be able to find what you are looking for, please do contact us. If you have a comment or suggestion about anything you find or would like added, please do let us know.

Little Easton is a picturesque village in North Essex. It has a population of just a few hundred people, one pub, “The Stag”, and one church. The village is recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086 as Estaines Parva.

The village boasts a picturesque setting for it’s village hall which hosts many regular activities and is available for hire. The village hall overlooks the recreation ground which is also home to the village cricket club and the childrens play area.

Steeped in history we are fortunate to have local attractions Little Easton Manor and The Gardens of Easton Lodge in our parish.

The area is popular with walkers and anglers who appreciate the beautiful rural setting.

FLOODING

Sunday 7th January 2024

The flooding at Bowyers Bridge (Mill End) has subsided and the road is passable by vehicles. The emergency access route through the quarry is now closed.

Be aware that there still remains serious flooding throughput the area and care should be taken, particularly on the more rural routes.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience over the past three days.
